Outbound international transfers must be processed at your home branch. The account holder or a legally authorised representative must be present at the branch to sign the foreign exchange contract that states the conversion rates for the transfer. Please note that due to the hours of the Brazilian foreign exchange market, this procedure can only be done from Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm at the branch. It cannot be done via Internet Banking or the HSBC Call Centre. For more information, please click here.
Each foreign country where HSBC operates handles international transfers differently, according to local regulations and bank procedures. Please visit the closest HSBC Branch for assistance.
To receive international transfers in Brazil, the beneficiary or a legally authorised representative must sign a foreign exchange contract in the branch agreeing to the exchange rates used for the conversion into local currency.
Please note that due to the hours of the Brazilian foreign exchange market, this procedure can only be done from Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm at the branch. It cannot be done via Internet Banking or the HSBC Call Centre.
